Ads built to be tested, not to be admired

Creative is the variable with the most leverage left. Targeting has been automated, bidding is largely handled by the platform, and account structure at small budgets has settled on a few sensible patterns. What remains is whether the first two seconds are worth watching and whether the claim in them is one your customer believes. That is decided in the edit far more often than on a set.

The problem with beautiful ads

Brand teams produce work that is coherent, on-palette and properly lit, and it often loses to a phone video filmed in a kitchen. That is not an argument for low production values; it is an argument about what the first two seconds are being asked to do. In a feed, the ad competes with a friend's post, not with other ads. The job of frame one is to make scrolling past feel like a small loss. Most polished ads open with a logo, a slow push-in or a lifestyle shot with no tension in it — three seconds of nothing, in a place where three seconds is the entire budget. A small brand has a second problem: one professional shoot can cost more than three months of ad spend, and it produces a handful of looks rather than a handful of tests.

What the work is

Creative production, in four parts.

01

Briefs written from the account

Every month's ads start from what the account has already proved: which hook family is working, which objection keeps showing up in the comments, which proof point moved purchases. We are not making eight ads and hoping. We are making eight ads against three or four specific questions, most of which came out of the previous month's results, and we write down the question each ad is meant to answer before it is made.

02

Formats chosen to isolate a variable

A customer testimonial, a founder speaking to camera, a problem-and-demonstration cut and a static with one strong claim are four different tests, not four different looks. Running them against the same offer is how you learn whether the offer or the format did the work — the most useful thing to know before you spend more.

03

Made from what you already have

Our plans do not include shoots. We edit from your product photos, founder clips filmed on a phone, unboxing footage and customer videos you have permission to use. Most brands have far more usable material than they think. Where there is a gap, we send a short shot list you can film in an afternoon. If you hire a creator, we write the brief; you contract and pay them directly, and we cut the ads from what they deliver.

04

Delivered ready to run

Every ad ships in 9:16, 4:5 and 1:1 with captions burned in, safe zones respected for each placement, hook and caption copy written, and a filename that maps to the test it belongs to. Each ad includes one revision round. Nothing arrives needing to be resized before it can go live.

What you receive
  • 4, 8 or 12 new ad creatives a month on Starter, Growth or Scale
  • Hook and caption copy for every ad, in every ratio
  • A monthly creative plan tied to the test cycle
  • Results by ad in the monthly report: what won, what lost, what to make next
Timeline

The first batch lands within 7 to 10 working days of receiving your footage — gathering material is usually the slow part, not the editing. From month two, Starter ads arrive in one batch at the start of each month; Growth and Scale ads arrive in smaller batches through the month so a new test can start every week.

Who this is for

Brands whose ads have gone stale and who have no editor in-house: the same three ads have run for months, everyone agrees there should be more to test, and nobody has time to make them. Also brands that only need the ads and run the account themselves — pay-as-you-go creatives start at $13 each, with no plan.

Questions

About this service.

Who owns the ads?
You do, for paid and organic use, from the day they are delivered. The footage and photos you supply stay yours. If you send us creator footage, you need paid-usage rights from that creator; we ask before we cut it, so an ad never goes live on a license you do not have.
Can you work with our brand guidelines?
Yes, and we will also tell you where a guideline is costing you money. Guidelines written for packaging or a website often rule out exactly what works in a feed — a plain first frame, an unpolished face to camera, a claim in large type. Those conversations are worth having early.
Can we buy ads without a monthly plan?
Yes. Pay-as-you-go ad creatives cost $13 for one and $130 for 24, each delivered in three ratios with hook and caption copy and one revision round, in three working days. You run them yourself. Many clients start this way and move to a plan when they want us running the account too.
